Small Goals: August

Today I stumbled across super sweet blogger Jennifer at The Yellow Brick Road. She's recently started a monthly linky on small goals and I think it's JUST what I need have a little focus! So, this will be my FIRST month linking up for this perfect linky, and hopefully I'll get to come back to you next month with my progress!

So, my August Small Goals:

Have a Baby
Hehe. Ok, so that's kind of cheating but it's also kind of a big deal. I'm due in just over 2 weeks and it's definitely something I look forward to "accomplishing." Plus I like adding things to the list that I know I'll be able to cross off. :)

Finish-ish The Nursery
Let's be real. I don't expect to have it 100% complete by the time Charlie arrives. But I would like to have the major stuff done: Walls, floors, furniture, basic organization. I will be ok with not installing baseboards, and maybe even not having the rug I want, but other than that. T minus 3 weeks to get this situation in order.

Send Out Thank You Cards
We had a fabulous BaByQue a few weeks ago. I loved it so much and am so grateful to everyone who came and showered us with love and gifts. Unfortunately, they may or may now know that because the thank you cards are still sitting at the end of my couch. Don't judge! Back To School plus being severely under-prepared for baby #2 has got me hot messy.

Blog More
I started this blog almost two years ago with high hopes of being semi-consistent. I failed. But I'm getting better! By the end of next week, I will have blogged more in the last couple of months than I have in the previous two years combined. I made this linky calendar to remind & motivate me to connect with others.

Cross off One More Bucket List Item
This past spring, I wrote a summer bucket list for Beckett. I wanted to have a reminder to be intentional about his first summer as a toddler and his last summer as an only child. As I've gotten significantly larger with Charlie and as Back to School has consumed my time, it has been difficult to remain intentional about these goals. Now, with only a couple weeks left before Charlie arrives, I'd like to aim to cross off at least ONE more item from this bucket list!

Update all September products in my store
I've been updating my TPT store products so that everything has a fresh new look. I've got big plans for adding fabulous useful tools for teachers all with gorgeous clipart from Krista Wallden and fonts from KG Fonts. My to wishful thinking do list for August is REALLY long, but at the bare minimum, I want to be sure to complete my September-esque products: Fall & Labor Day goodies. :)

Ok. I think that's a long enough list for now!

I'd love to connect with you and see your goals! Find me on Facebook & Instagram so we can stay in touch! :)

  1. Thank you for linking up! I was so excited this morning to see a new face (so to speak) on the link-up. I'm looking forward to seeing how your goals turn out next month :)

  2. Wow! You have blog posts scheduled for when you are having your baby-- super energetic of you. Is this a version of nesting? Haha.

  3. Oh, and looking at your bucket list. . .
I went to St. Louis this summer and my 2 1/2 year old absolutely LOVED the butterfly garden. So much fun. But if you don't get to it, I *think* it's open year round and a baby would enjoy it also.
