One on One: October!

I love these monthly dollar deals! Thanks so much to The First Grade Roundup for hosting! :) This month, I'm super excited to share my Halloween Literacy Center Bundle at 75% off!! This deal is good today and tomorrow only, so hurry on over!!

This Halloween Literacy Center Pack is Chock Full of Fun and ADORABLE items that your students will love this Halloween Season. Each item is most Common Core Aligned and Halloween themed! I have included Print & Go [blackline] options of each activity for easy centers with very little prep work. There is also a reusable version of each activity - full color and intended for laminating and using again next year! Each activity is also supplied with a matching 8.5x11 Common Core "I can" statement as well as suggestions to modify each activity to increase or decrease difficulty level!

Here are just a couple of my favorite pieces from this pack in action:

In Roll & Write Students will roll for a random vocabulary word & then use the word in a sentence or story. {CCRA.L.6}

For easy differentiation, I've also included a page to simply copy down the word and illustrate a scene using that word.

In Mummy Match, students will read and categorize words into their appropriate word families.

To guide students who are not quite prepared to do this activity on their own, I simply circle the word family ending!

In Batty for Book, students will read Fall or Halloween themed books (not included) and then complete sequencing or plot graphic organizers. {RL.1.2 & RL.1.3} In this activity, you can either use words & sentences, or let the students illustrate their points like in these photos with sweet Henley.

To see what other goodies are in this set, check it out here!

For other dollar goodies, head on over to The First Grade Roundup!

One on One: Labor Day Writing

Guys. I almost missed our Big Heartland Blogger montly One on One Linky! I had written it down for Saturday, even though today is obviously the 1st of the month. I'm totally claiming newborn brain (aka. I don't remember the last time I got decent sleep). But I mean...

So worth it, right? :) Don't mind her outfit. She was in the mood to break out the loungewear like mommy. :)

Anyway! So one on one is a monthly linky hosted by The First Grade Roundup. It's a fabulous chance to spotlight a product and put it on sale for JUST ONE DOLLAR!! Woot!

Today, I'm super excited to show off my Labor Day writing Unit. The set is usually $3.00 in my store, but for today and TOMORROW it'll be marked down to only $1! WOO!!

This pack has all of the goodies you'll need for your Labor Day writing center, plus some materials you'll be able to use in other Labor Day lessons as well!

The I Can Statement posters are great for posting at your centers, displaying at the front of your classroom during lessons or units, or adding to your student work display boards. They're a great way to remind your students of exactly what their goals are for this lesson or activity.

In Anderson's Opinion, firefighters have the most important job. :)

Choose the vocabulary cards that best suit your class, or make your own with the blank cards! These are great for displaying in pocket charts, on word walls, or in writing centers. Use them in games & reference them during reading lessons to really reinforce the new vocabulary.

Henley apparently thinks flashcards are the bees knees. :)

Along with the vocabulary cards, I've also provided a list of adjectives to help students add more pizazz to their writing. :) Laminate it and display it in a writing center or add a copy to each student's writing folder!

Graphic organizers are great for pre-writing, of course. I would also recommend using them for your Labor Day and Community Helper reading passages.

This pack includes 24 writing prompts. The prompts vary in difficulty and genre. Each card is labeled with the appropriate writing standard.

Adeline plans to head the lake for the weekend! Lucky girl.

After writing, students can work independently, in pairs, or with a teacher to edit their work! These are provided in both full color and black line. Full color posters are great for displaying at writing centers or laminating to use repeatedly during your writing mini-lessons or conferences!

You can check out this writing center in my store by clicking here!

I'd love to hear what you think! Do you use writing centers in your classroom? What's your favorite writing center tool? Connect with me on FacebookInstagram, & BlogLovin' to stay in touch!

It's TIIIME! Today, in addition to the Big Heartland Blogger's Giveaway Linky, I'm also linking up with Big Heartland Blogger The First Grade Roundup for a FUN new monthly Linky, One on One!

I've been working on creating a huge Primary Informational Text pack for a while now.  It's my new favorite product!!

Thanks to everyone who participated in my Feedback Challenge! I had SO. MANY. great ideas roll in. I may just have to expand my pack to keep up with them all! In my TPT store, I'll have each month listed separately, and a special growing bundle pack for a steal of a price. In celebration of this new Linky, and because I'm in the mood to offer a ROCKIN' dollar deal, AUGUST is up TODAY for only $1!!!

This pack has 6 informational passages with a variety of informational reading passage topics. Here's the rundown of topics for the August Pack.

Then, each passage includes three comprehension questions provided in two different formats [fill in the blank or multiple choice] for no-prep differentiation! The questions are the exact same for both type of worksheet, so all of your students will be able to participate in the same group conversation, but with the tools to support them at their own ability level!

I hope you love this dollar deal! Make sure you spread the love and share this post - the deal is only good for today, and then the pack will go back up to it's regular price of $4. And don't forget connect with me on Facebook and Instagram. I would LOVE to see your kiddos in action!
